What is Pray18?
Many years ago I heard a man say, “Prayer is the match that lights the fuse to God’s power.” I’ve never forgotten those words, and I’ve never doubted the truthfulness of them. Pray18 is a sermon series Cross Culture Church is doing to start off 2018, that will last a few weeks. But, more than a sermon series, part of my prayer is that Pray18 will be an initiative that ignites our desire to know God more intimately in 2018 through prayer. And, it becomes a catalyst for experiencing God’s power in His church in 2018, like never before.
We’re asking the people of God to commit to pray for Cross Culture Church for at least 18 minutes each week in 2018. That’s a little more than two and a half minutes per day. That might not seem like a lot, but with all of us praying, it adds up to the potential to see God do something extraordinary. Just to be clear, I don’t believe God has to have a certain number of minutes of prayer lifted up to Him before He acts. But, biblically we are told that we should pray. And, we can see plenty of examples in the Bible where the power of God was at work, when God’s people prayed.
So, will you pray? Specifically, we’re using the word “PRAY” as an acrostic for what we want us all to be praying for Cross Culture Church, in 2018.
Thank you for your willingness to pray. You’ll see on this page a prayer board we’ve set up. Let us know specific prayers you are praying for Cross Culture Church in 2018. Together, we’re lighting the fuse to God’s power. And, the results are going to be explosive.
Father, I pray that Your people would see Your power on display in such a way at Cross Culture Church that there would be no doubt that God is at work among us. I pray for God-sized resources, to accomplish this God-sized task. I pray that we would be quick to praise You, and just as quick to take action and join You in this Kingdom work. And, Father, I pray that all of us would be completely yielded to You and Your will, so that we might all experience a mighty move of Your hand among us. May 2018 be a year where no doubt was left that God is working in and through Cross Culture Church.

My prayer for Cross Culture in 2018 is to grow as a body; for our people to be closer to our savior and I want more people to join our church. I pray that we will have a larger impact on the surrounding community and the thousands of people that don't have a church home or may not know where they will spend eternity. I pray that Cross Culture is able to support ministries and spearhead mission trips both locally and abroad all year. We have such an amazing body of believers that I know that we have potential to be a powerful tool for God to use in His kingdoms work.

I am praying for the courage and boldness of the congregation of Cross Culture to share our faith with the people we meet. That we would build relationships with all people regardless of their status, education, color of their skin or the neighborhoods they live in.
~ Nate J.
I am praying that our life groups would make relationships with people that have needs that we can meet. Whether that need be physical, spiritual, or relational, I would love to see God use those relationships to grow Cross Culture.

David and I have been praying for the hearts and lives of the children at Cross Culture Church to be affected deeply by the Holy Spirit. That all the lessons they learn, games they play, and songs they sing will shape who they become. We pray that these kids would understand the power of God and what He is capable of doing in their lives. That they would be so excited about his work that they would invite their friends to our incredible church. We pray and Thank God for our amazing coaches that lead and direct our kids each Sunday so faithfully. We pray that God would bless their lives in an incredible way as they serve with all their hearts.

I’m praying for obedience to God from each and every person and for commitment to be in church every week. I’m also praying for a place of permanency for Cross Culture and the salvation of my two sons.

We know that all things are by you and through you. We want to live obedient and free in You. Give us the courage and strength to stand for you. Lord use our hurts as lessons and testimony that You are always there in Your timing and that You always want what is best for Your children. Thank you Father that You are ever vigilant, ever faithful and always true. Lead us Father as we submit to You.
